Come and discover the pleasure and sensuality of working with clay, and develop your creative potential. (You may also use metal, fabric, beads, and other materials, according to your wishes.)

We will work with clay in small adult groups (maximum three people), in the cool setting of an old stone art gallery. Light-hearted, non-judgemental atmosphere.


You will be able to learn how to:

* develop enough independence to continue creating sculptures once you are back home,
* respond to the needs of the clay depending on humidity levels,
* understand the advantages and disadvantages of different types of clay,
dry clay gently,
* strengthen your figurines,
* build a figurine around a metal armature and give it movement,
* seal figurines with linseed oil,
* create wax and pigment patinas,
* manage the disposal of clay-laden water,
* study figurines from tribal art, outsider art, and intuitive art,
create expressive figurines free from the constraints of anatomical proportion,
* enter into a dialogue with the clay and ease off on over-controlling the finished piece,
* dare to work on a larger scale,
* create the conditions that allow intuition and imagination to emerge,
* use tools (modelling tools, loop tools, pliers, etc.).

Bruniquel is listed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. In the evening, enjoy the village terraces, or visit the treasures of the surrounding area (Puycelsi, Penne, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Cordes-sur-Ciel). Swim in the Aveyron or attend a performance nearby. Walks and hikes can be started directly from the village.
